avgr.app is a free stock average down calculator operated as a personal project. The website is accessible at https://avgr.app. For any privacy-related questions, contact us here.
2. Data we collect and why
Calculator inputs
When you use the calculator, the numbers you enter (shares owned, buy price, market price) are sent to our server to compute the result. These inputs are processed in memory and are never stored, logged to a database, or shared with any third party. Once the calculation is returned to your browser, your data is gone from our servers.
Analytics (Google Analytics)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised usage data: pages visited, approximate session duration, and approximate geographic region (country level). This helps us understand how visitors find and use the tool. No financial inputs, names, email addresses, or precise location data are collected. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to distinguish returning visitors.
Google may process this data on servers outside your country of residence. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by declining cookies on this site.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
avgr.app uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.

Local storage
avgr.app stores two small items in your browser's local storage: your theme preference (dark or light mode) and your cookie consent choice. These items never leave your device and are used only to remember your preferences between visits.

Analytics cookies are only loaded if you accept via the cookie banner. Functional cookies are always set as they are necessary for the site to work correctly. Advertising cookies are set by Google AdSense independently; you can opt out of personalised ads via Google's ad settings.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party. The only third parties that may receive data about your visit are:
- Google LLC — via Google Analytics (if you consent) and Google AdSense (for advertising)
- Our hosting and CDN infrastructure providers, who process server logs in the ordinary course of operating the service
5. Data retention
avgr.app has no database and retains no personal data between sessions. Calculator inputs are discarded immediately after computation. Analytics data retained by Google is subject to Google's own retention policies (typically 14 months for event data). Local storage items persist in your browser until you clear them.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. the EU/EEA under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or request data portability.
Because avgr.app stores no personal data on its own servers, most of these rights apply to data held by Google. You can exercise your rights regarding Google's data via Google's privacy tools. For any other requests, contact us here.
7. Children's privacy
avgr.app is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data through this site, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
